Blood purification was promoted and made known in Europe by Hildegard von Bingen. Long before "Hildegard bloodletting" was performed in Europe, "Raktamokshana blood purification" was widespread in large parts of Asia.

In the therapeutic spectrum of Ayurvedic medicine, there are three basic directions of therapy:

  1. Rasayana: measures to maintain health
  2. Shamana: soothing treatments for acute or chronic complaints
  3. Shodana: expelling therapies that treat the cause of the disease at its root. One of these causal therapies is "Rakta Mokshana", blood purification. Blood purification includes bloodletting, one of the five purification therapies ("Pancha Karma") in Ayurveda.

Get rid of your old burdens

Over the years, metabolic waste products accumulate throughout the body, including in the blood. These can lead to adhesions, thick fluid, inflammation etc. and thus damage arteries, veins and the heart. These "old burdens" in the blood can be removed from the body in a completely natural way by blood purification Raktamokshana.

Full moon

A few days after the full moon, waste products separate particularly easily from the blood. In order to remove them thoroughly from the circulation, blood is taken from the heart, liver or kidney vein with a special needle. After a few minutes of slow drainage, the body completes the cleansing process on its own. On average, about 50 to 150 ml of contaminated blood flows out - the healthy blood remains in the body.

Raktamokshana as a purification therapy

Raktamokshana blood purification is therefore part of the Shodana therapy and should be used according to very specific criteria and in a fixed sequence with pre- and post-treatment. In addition to the "Hildegard bloodletting according to Dr. Töth", the body can be well prepared for the release of harmful substances by an Ayurvedic pre-treatment at home lasting several days. In this way, an even more intensive effect on health can be achieved.

Examples of pre-treatment at home

Herbal purification, Pancha-Karma or similar - please talk to your doctor about what is best for you.

Aftercare

Light diet for a few days. Avoid coffee, alcohol, animal protein (milk, cheese, meat, eggs, etc.) and raw food. At the phlebotomy you will receive detailed information about the diet.
