Turmeric - our product of the year 2018 - has a very long tradition as a healing and spice plant. It was first mentioned in writing 4000 years ago and is still one of the pillars of Ayurvedic medicine, which is one of the oldest healing teachings.

Turmeric is a plant from the ginger family and is one of the "hot" spices that are said to have an energising and cleansing effect.

This gives energy and warmth. The warming turmeric supports digestive strength and the immune system.

Scientific research shows that turmeric promotes cell regeneration. In countries where a lot of turmeric is used as a spice in the diet, there are significantly fewer intestinal diseases. From this we can deduce that it is beneficial to use turmeric regularly in the diet or as a dietary supplement to prevent chronic diseases. In our shop we carry among others the products turmeric ground  and turmeric capsules with pepper! Our turmeric capsules contain a small amount of black pepper. This additional amount of pepper supports the absorption of turmeric from the intestine, the herbal ingredients of turmeric can thus be better transported to the liver and there unfold their liver-detoxifying effect. Turmeric has an astringent, i.e. astringent, drying effect. Ayurveda says that this leads to an anti-inflammatory effect on the mucous membranes. This is why the capsules are also very suitable for Pitta types with irritated intestines.
