Dr Schachinger at the International Ayurveda Symposia
In September 2018, no less than 4 international Ayurveda Symposia took place, to which Dr. Schachinger was invited as a speaker. Find here a small overview of the topics and a few photos.
4th International Ayurveda Congress in Leiden/Holland 1-3 September 2018.
The participation of the Indian Minister of Health for Ayurveda, Shripard Naik, gave this congress a special touch. The occasion of the congress was an exhibition at Leiden University, where a 350-year-old copperplate engraving depicting over 700 Indian medicinal plants was on display. This copper engraving called "Hortus Malabaricus" was compiled in the 18th century by more than 100 collaborators in 30 years of research. In this congress, the recent use of Ayurveda in the European health system was discussed. Dr. Schachinger spoke on the topic of "Ama Pachana (herbal purification)" and presented his study results with the use of herbal purification on his patients. From 12 - 14 September, the 20th International Ayurveda Symposium of the Rosenberg Academy took place in Birstein (Hesse/ Germany). 
Dr. Schachinger gives a lecture on "Ayurvedic bloodletting - theory and practice" in Birstein.

From 21 - 23 September the 5th International Ayurveda Congress took place in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.
Dr. Schachinger gave a public lecture on "Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis" and a lecture for doctors on "A multimodal Ayurvedic approach to health and sustainable weight loss".
Together with Dr Gordana Marković, Dr Schachinger gave the lecture on Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis.
The symposium "Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation for Healthy and Happy Ageing" took place from 25 - 27 Septmber in Graz. There, Dr. Schachinger presented his study results on the Ayurveda webinar "Happy Slim". He was able to show that during this 25-day outpatient Ayurveda cure, the weight, blood pressure, inflammation levels, blood lipids and liver values of the participants improved significantly. He received an "Excellence Award" from Prof. Dr. Nandu Goswami, Head of the Department of Physiology at Med Uni Graz, for his presentation.
