This time, for once, we do not want to share medical knowledge with you, but happy news. For years we have been working on developing a new "House of Health" where we can also offer our guests and patients overnight accommodation for Ayurveda cures. For a short time now, the realisation of this project has been fixed. Soma GmbH, which is implementing this project, was able to acquire a plot of land in Geboltskirchen near Haag am Hausruck, which offers ideal conditions for a Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre in Vedic architecture. In recent months, intensive work has been done on the plans. The start of construction is imminent.

The new building will offer about 3 times as much space as the existing House of Health in Ried im Innkreis. Especially the area for the care of guests and patients will be much more spacious. From a medical point of view, the offer will be expanded to include thermal water treatments. The property is over 4 hectares in size and allows for further expansion phases. In this first phase, 5 comfortable rooms can accommodate 5-10 guests, depending on single or double occupancy, who can then comfortably walk the few steps from their own room to the treatments in their bathrobe.

What fascinated the guests at the laying of the foundation stone most was the incredible panoramic view far across the entire Hausruckviertel region to the Upper Austrian Limestone Alps, the Bohemian Forest and the Bavarian Forest. According to Vedic tradition, a new building should begin with the laying of the foundation stone at an auspicious, auspicious hour.

This is exactly what was done on Friday, 31 July 2020, at 8 am with about 70 guests. Dr Wolfgang Schachinger first welcomed the guests and led them through the traditional Vedic ceremony.

Among the guests were representatives of public life, including the Member of the Upper Austrian Parliament K.R. Alfred Frager. Alfred Frauscher, the mayor of Geboltskirchen Fritz Kirchsteiger, the deputy mayor Rudolf Waldenberger, the former president of the Federation of Austrian Industries Klaus Pöttinger and the scientist and Ayurveda fan Prof. Dr. Bruno Buchberger. From the field of Ayurveda and Transcendental Meditation, Prof. Dr. Eckart Stein, the President of the International Maharishi Ayurveda Foundation Dr. Rainer Picha and the President of the Austrian Society for Ayurvedic Medicine Dr. Lothar Krenner attended the event. The participation of the neighbours and citizens of Geboltskirchen was particularly gratifying.

During a short ceremony, the foundation and corner stones were set at the north-east corner of the future building according to a traditional pattern. The planner of the building, architect Herbert Schrattenecker and the employees of the executing company Bau-Mayr erected the foundation stones in precisely measured positions. Before the central foundation stone was laid, Dr. Wolfgang Schachinger, with the active support of his wife and his children Dr. med. Valeria, Mag. Alexander and Jana, sank symbols for success and health in a bowl. The ceremony ended with all participants raining petals and good wishes on the foundation stones that had just been laid.

The finale was an excellent vegetarian breakfast buffet by "Kochstudio Heide Maria Vendler - heilsam kochen" at the Vierkanthof of neighbour Markus Höftberger.
