In March 2024, our hotel will become the Home of Ayurveda somamed. We are a place where Ayurveda is lived in all areas, as versatile as the ancient knowledge itself. Our new name reflects the diversity of our services: inpatient Pancha Karma cures, outpatient Ayurveda cures and physiotherapeutic treatments, diagnostic medicine, webinars and high-quality products from our in-house shop - all from a single source and in one place.

With Home of Ayurveda somamed, we offer a unique combination of ancient Ayurveda, traditional healing water treatments from the local thermal spring and scientifically based modern medicine. With somamed, we want to make the best health possible for everyone.

Our well-known house products are gradually being given a new packaging design - with the same formulation and quality. You can still purchase our products at www.ayurvedashop.at.

How did the new brand name come about?

We have spent the last few months intensively analysing our values and our vision. With the new Home of Ayurveda somamed brand, we are uniting all of our areas and specialisms with a common name and appearance.

Dr Wolfgang Schachinger has been giving Ayurveda a home in Europe since the 1980s - hence Home of Ayurveda somamed

Our new house in Geboltskirchen, on the edge of the Hausruckwald, is the physical expression of this new home of Ayurveda.

Our mission

With somamed - the centre for Maharishi Ayurveda and holistic medicine - we create the ideal environment for health, vitality, regeneration and joie de vivre. Home of Ayurveda somamed is the fulfilment of our idea of the human-oriented art of healing, with which we would like to individually accompany all those who entrust themselves to us to health and well-being.
