Guduchi (Tinospora Cordifolia) is a tropical climbing plant that is used in many ways in Ayurveda. According to the doctrine of signatures, the heart-shaped leaves of Guduchi indicate the heart- and circulation-strengthening and youth-preserving effect of this medicinal plant, which is therefore called Amrita - the immortal. In addition to the rejuvenating and circulatory-strengthening effects, the classical texts also describe blood-purifying and detoxifying effects.

Guduchi in Ayurveda

Guduchi has a balancing effect on all three doshas, nourishes the tissues and strengthens the digestive system. Of the body organs, the liver in particular is supported in its detoxifying effect. This detoxifying effect also makes guduchi a popular folk remedy for gout. The amrita property of guduchi, i.e. the promotion of longevity, is evident in its own tenacity to climatic conditions. When it is too hot or dry, guduchi loses all its leaves and seems to die, but as soon as conditions change, the plant, thought dead, sprouts again and comes back to life. These properties explain the psychic effects of guduchi: the tea made from the dried powder of the stem is often used when a person needs energy to find a way out of a seemingly hopeless situation.

Application:

Cleanse and revitalise your mind and body with a 3-week course of Guduchi tea. For this purpose, pour approx. 2.5 g (1 flat teaspoon) of Guduchi powder with 1 cup of boiling water twice a day, preferably before breakfast and dinner or sleeping, stir several times, and after cooling down to drinking temperature, drink the infusion with powder. 1 tin with 100 g powder is enough for exactly 3 weeks!
