Ayurvedic tips for pupils, students and teachers - Part 2

The start of school is over. Pupils, students and teachers are back in learning mode. Many find it difficult to adjust to the new rhythm.

It is noticeable that many pupils and teachers do not eat regular warm meals. According to Ayurveda, this can have a very unfavourable effect on memory and performance.

Read today how proper nutrition and suitable food supplements can improve everyday learning.

Proper and regular nutrition

The digestive system can also disrupt the learning process if it is overloaded. It is rightly said in the vernacular: "A full belly does not like to study". One of the most important recommendations of Ayurvedic nutrition is to take breaks - not only between study sessions, but also between meals. Eating too heavy, snacking in between meals and constant snacking keep the digestive fire Agni unnecessarily busy and tie up valuable energy that is missing for the brain. Many students have a bad habit: they don't eat their lunch all at once, but take a bite at short intervals. This also leads to a misuse of Agni.

Drinks - no sugar please

In Ayurveda, sugary drinks such as soft drinks, diluted and fruit juices are considered snacks that disturb the digestive process and unnecessarily rob the mind-body system of energy.

Water or unsweetened tea during study breaks are much more refreshing. Pupils, students and teachers who manage with 3 or a maximum of 4 meals a day are ideally equipped to support their memory and learning ability.

Sugar or fat?

Advertisements for children mainly promote products with a high sugar content to boost energy and memory. This proves to be absolutely fatal. Sweet drinks, like sugary snacks, are responsible for a new epidemic among young people: obesity and concentration problems.

The industry negligently sells unhealthy foods and drinks as especially "suitable for children" and thus contributes to the massive deterioration of the health of our youth.

Sugar is massively advertised, fat is maligned. This is completely different in Ayurveda. There, high-quality fats such as ghee and cold-pressed oils are rightly praised as important factors for a good memory!

Every pupil, student and teacher needs his or her daily portion of high-quality fats for optimal memory and stress resistance!

Food supplements

Memory and nervous power can be supported very well by Ayurvedic and modern food supplements. Recommended here are the student Rasayana MA724, ;magnesium citrate and, especially for the start of school, a multivitamin preparation such as Multispectrum 24/7 from Biogena (please log in to see this product).

Summary

Since "a full belly doesn't like to study" (neither does an empty one, by the way!!), a balanced diet is very important for mental and physical performance.

Besides the selection of high-quality ingredients, the eating rhythm is significant: main meal at noon, light food in the morning and in the evening.

Ayurvedic and orthomolecular food supplements are the icing on the cake of effective nutrition. They start the "turbo" for memory, concentration and performance.
