Dr med Ernst Schrott

The news of his departure from this life has shaken us.

On 22 October, Dr. Ernst Schrott passed away forever like a yogi during his meditation.

Dr. Ernst Schrott was a brilliant European Ayurveda pioneer of the first hour and a doctor with body and soul. He was an excellent diagnostician and had a therapeutic option at hand for everything and everyone. He was the archetype of the doctor who recognises and feels people's problems, takes them lovingly by the hand and accompanies them towards better health. Tens of thousands of people around the world owe him a better, healthier life.

Trained by the best Ayurvedic doctors in India and inspired by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, he immersed himself primarily in Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis, herbal medicine and Marma Therapy. He has written widely acclaimed books and scientific articles on each of these subjects: Bestsellers for medical laymen, excellent specialist literature for medical practitioners and those working in the healing professions.
One of his special achievements is the rediscovery of marma therapy. In countless research trips to renowned experts he collected all available information and formulated from it the "Maharishi Ayurveda Sukshma Marma Therapy", a highly subtle and effective method of manual medicine.

He did not want to keep his knowledge to himself and founded the 'German Ayurveda Academy', an institution which makes Maharishi Ayurveda and his own research results accessible to the medical profession and healers in a practical form. His seminar activities within the framework of the Academy have taken him to many countries around the world. Everywhere he was popular not only because of his knowledge but also because of his charisma, his optimism, his solution-orientation and his humour.

The partners and staff of the German Ayurveda Academy, all course participants and graduates, feel an irretrievable loss with his passing.

We thank Dr. Ernst Schrott for the knowledge, compassion and unique practical skills that we were privileged to learn from him and teach with him.

We want to carry on his life's work by continuing to work tirelessly to establish Ayurveda, the knowledge of life, including Sukshma Marma Therapy, permanently in society and in the health system.

In deep solidarity across all boundaries of time and space!
