What can I do except wait for the vaccine?

In addition to Ayurvedic recommendations for a strong immune system  it is becoming increasingly evident that properly dosed vitamin D reduces susceptibility to covid as well as the rate of complications. .

Read about new study results on the protection against corona by vitamin D and C here. Our immune performance responds to all internal and external influences, and can be enormously weakened or enormously strengthened by them.

Das Warten auf die Impfung - was kann ich sonst noch machen?
Das Corona Virus hält uns seit einiger Zeit fest im Griff
Impfung ist gut, aber ein starkes Immunsystem ist besser

Positive influences on immune performance:

  • Balanced diet, proper eating habits
  • Relaxation, Transcendental Meditation
  • Sufficient sleep
  • Aerobic exercise
  • Purification
  • Well-being and personalised life goals
  • Medicinal herbs such as Maharishi Amrit Kalash
  • Nutritional supplements such as vitamin D and C
  • Balancing the doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha

Negative influences on the immune system

  • "Modern" diet with convenience foods ("junk food").
  • Irregular meals, bad eating habits
  • Sleep deprivation (sleeping less than 7 hours)
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Overweight and diabetes
  • Stress due to over- and under-exertion

Vitamin D and Immune Performance

A 2nd thing you should tackle immediately is boosting your vitamin D status. More and more studies are showing that adequate vitamin D levels significantly reduce the likelihood of covid disease and cause a much milder course in patients who become ill despite having vitamin D. Under the title "How much ignorance is actually allowed?! Vitamin D can save lives in corona ", the staff of the recognised preventologist Prof. Dr. Jörg Spitz write the following in their newsletter: "In view of these clear results (of vitamin D research*), the question arises as to how long it is still ethically justifiable to continue to withhold vitamin D as a therapeutic agent from patients with covid-19 and other respiratory diseases. The consensus among international experts is that blood levels of vitamin D should be at least 30 ng/ml, with an optimal level above 40 ng/ml." Our recommendation: Take vitamin D regularly in the dosage we recommend! If you are unsure of your vitamin D level, get tested as soon as possible! If you do not know exactly how to dose, please contact us at the practice!

Vitamin C and viral infections

Even the founder of orthomolecular medicine, the American Nobel Prize winner Linus Pauling, postulated an excellent preventive and therapeutic effect of vitamin C on viral infections. Already during the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in Wuhan/China, severely ill covid patients were treated very successfully with high-dose vitamin C infusions. We also recommend an accompanying oral therapy with vitamin C for every viral infection. One can take as much vitamin C daily as the intestine can tolerate. This dose ranges from 500 mg to several grams of vitamin C per day, depending on sensitivity.

Vitamin C infusions for prevention

Experienced doctors who are intensively involved in the use of vitamin C report success in the preventive use of vitamin C infusions. One infusion of high-dose vitamin C (7.5g) every 1 - 2 weeks is sufficient as a sensible preventive measure against viral infections. We offer these vitamin C infusions in our practice.  With weekly vitamin C infusions and a good vitamin D prophylaxis we can accompany you through these times in the best possible way!
