Ayurvedic food supplements

Our body is a miracle of nature. Over millions of years, a holistic organism has developed that can hardly be surpassed in beauty and perfection. It constantly keeps itself in balance, is able to adapt to external influences and repair itself. According to Ayurvedic lore, people could live 115 years or more - happy and healthy.

Stress, environmental toxins and the consumption of highly processed foods are on the rise. These influences can overwhelm the body's ability to repair itself.

The Ayurvedic concept of health and the assumptions about life expectancy and quality of life that come from Ayurveda originated a very long time ago. The sum of the stresses was lower and different than today, the food was natural, body, mind and psyche were less exposed to problems, stress or foreign substances. Today, according to Ayurvedic knowledge, a fast pace of life, overexertion, industrial food low in vital substances, lack of exercise or environmental toxins overtax the limited possibilities of the body to ward off stress and harmful influences. The conclusion of Ayurveda, which goes back to the time of the Vedic civilisation of India: We get out of balance faster and age prematurely.

Free Radicals - Aggressive Chaos in the Molecular System

The manifold stresses keep our body's defence systems in constant operation and promote the formation of free oxygen radicals. Free radicals are a "sharp weapon" of the immune system, very effective in dealing with invaders, but very harmful when they are produced in excess and cannot be kept under control by the responsible substances. Free radicals irrevocably alter and destroy cell structures. According to medical-scientific findings, they are significantly involved in the ageing process and are partly responsible for many widespread diseases.

A healthy diet - plus antioxidants

Our body is actually well equipped with special enzymes, so-called "radical scavengers", to protect itself from the destructive rage of free radicals and to render them harmless. Some vitamins, minerals and trace elements, vital substances called antioxidants, also serve this purpose and are therefore considered vital. Antioxidants, for example vitamin C, vitamin E, or selenium, relieve and strengthen the organism's repair potential. They are ingested with food - especially fresh fruits and vegetables contain a relatively large amount of them - and support the body in catching radicals from the outside, so to speak. However, the strain on the organism has increased greatly, for example due to stress and environmental toxins. It is recommended to integrate the regular consumption of health-promoting antioxidant-rich food supplements into the diet.
