What a week that was! First the opening ceremony with the invited guests from politics and business, and then the open day.

We had expected good attendance, the interest of the residents of Geboltskirchen and the neighbouring communities was obvious. But then came the surprise: soma was literally stormed!

The parking spaces regulated by the fire brigade along the access roads were occupied for hundreds of metres on both sides of the lanes. Women, men and families flocked to our new house. Many were literally left open-mouthed in amazement.

The Ayurvedic vegetarian lunch on offer was sold out at 12:15. Then there was only thermal water, juices, tea, coffee and cake. The free short consultations with pulse diagnosis offered were of particular interest. Dr. Wolfgang Schachinger, our new Ayurvedic dietician Gudrun Sowa and the Indian Ayurvedic doctor Dr. Abilash Anand were able to give valuable Ayurvedic dietary and lifestyle tips during more than 130 consultations. Our orthopaedist and sports doctor Dr. Philipp Schultes gave sensible advice for the musculoskeletal system during more than 20 short consultations.

The Ayurvedic treatments were very popular with our guests. Many visitors enjoyed gentle Ayurvedic face and neck massages with soothing Ayurvedic oils.

"I was particularly impressed by the guided tour of the house", Mr. Manfred L. told us, "It gave me a better understanding of the character of the Vedic architecture. Very interesting for me were the therapy rooms with the unique Ayurvedic massage beds."

In the new seminar room and in the "Room of Silence", many visitors informed themselves about the cures offered in the house and about Transcendental Meditation. At the main lecture by Dr. Wolfgang Schachinger, who gave a talk on "Purification in the Ayurvedic way" in the auditorium at 2 p.m., the audience crowded all three floors to make sure they didn't miss anything.

"Despite the large crowds, all visitors were very patient and considerate," said Anita Gmeiner, Dr Schachinger's practice assistant. "We tried to give as many interested people as possible an insight into our new environment and our activities. We were very touched by the admiration of the visitors for our new house soma."

"I gave half-hour tours of our house to a large group of interested people," said Thomas Prammer, Ayurvedashop employee. "It was amazing from where the visitors came. We had participants from Geboltskirchen and the neighbouring communities, from all parts of Upper Austria and the neighbouring provinces, from Bavaria and South Tyrol."

Our Ayurveda shop was particularly popular. The discount on the majority of our products meant that many visitors stocked up on ayurvedic supplements and foods on the day.

"My opinion of Ayurvedic nutrition has changed today," said Ms Astrid G. "The lunch provided and the various desserts tasted fantastic!"

We were so busy with the rush that we couldn't even tell the exact number of our guests. Estimates range from 1300 to 1500 visitors.
